Getting an online reservation system up and running in just a couple of days – for plenty of retailers and shops, this of course posed a huge challenge on the brink of lockdown number 3. One clear online tool that helps you locate every shop in the shopping centre and allows you to immediately book your shopping slot. A system that indicates in which shops advance booking is required or not. And mainly a platform that is quick to set up and adjustable to the unique character of the area and actual type of shops. Just two days before the rules became imposed, everyone had to go full throttle.
For this online booking system, our business partner and technology architect Beaver & Eagle tested several free and paying tools, with the French solution ‘Troov’ coming out as best in test and most value for money. Initially designed as a platform for lost and found items in shopping malls, it turned out to be the best basis, that could be tailored to these specific requirements.
We optimised the platform as per requirements, implemented the system and integrated all shops of the shopping centre, including links to respective other reservation systems retail chains might have put in place.
In the first 72 hours of the regulations being in place, already approximately 25 centres belonging to AG Real Estates, Ceusters, CBRE and Galimmo operated with this central platform. Our support desk was at hand to answer any questions and offer support where needed.
