Wisely becomes structural
partner of BLSC
BLSC ‒ Belgian Luxembourg Council of Retail and Shopping Centres ‒ represents the interests of professional retailers and retail real estate companies. Wisely has been a dedicated member of the BLSC network for many years now.
In October 2020, BLSC tasked Wisely with the organisation of a large Shop & Win campaign. In close collaboration with the BLSC work group, we managed everything from A to Z: from concept to campaign visual, 360° communication and technology integration, even to the entire logistics. In fact, working on this campaign together sparked conversations about a structural partnership – with Wisely recently signing a 3-year partnership deal as the end result.
Luc Plasman, General Manager BLSC:
“We are happy to welcome Wisely as a new structural partner. More than ever are we looking forward to experiencing the power of collaboration and networking. In our partners, we always look for specific expertise that can offer added value to our organisation and our members. Wisely already looks back on years of know-how in informing, inspiring and activating shoppers, tourists, residents, entrepreneurs and retailers, with their place marketing and community management approach, materialised in online and offline services. This expertise originates in the background of founder Maarten Decramer, having been the city centre manager of Kortrijk and managing several successful assignments for retail parks and city centres afterwards.”
Anneleen Vanhaverbeke, Marketing Manager Wisely:
“During the time we worked together on the Shop & Win campaign, we started feeling our expertise could bring BLSC something extra. Our multi-disciplinary team works on many a concept on a daily basis, mainly for retail parks in Belgium: developing tailor-made campaigns, organising animation, setting up online competitions, daily social media management, launching a shopping reward system, organising and facilitating tenant meetings… Every time, the insights and take-aways from such projects ensure we can continuously fine-tune and optimise our campaigns.
Wisely focuses on the creative side and on operations, whereas our partner Beaver & Eagle typically works on the technology side of what we do: selecting the correct platforms, creating user-friendly interfaces, setting up online systems and platforms…
One of the advantages is that we manage everything in-house and our clients enjoy the ease of having just one point of contact during the entire project. We are also able to guarantee a back-up for the team at all times, thus ensuring continuity.”
Filip De Bois, president BLSC:
“COVID-19 of course will pose a number of additional challenges for the retail industry, hence the retail real estate sector as well. We are keen to find out what insights and inspiration Wisely and Beaver & Eagle will bring us and our members. The fact they have been a stable presence in our industry for 10 years already demonstrates they are a reliable business, perfectly suited to enter into a structural partnership with us.”
Maarten Decramer, founder & CEO Wisely:
“Our mission is clear: with our services, we aim to offer our clients in the world of retail parks and shopping centres, as well as centre management of cities and municipalities, entirely worry-free campaigns, totally in line with their requirements and backed by plenty of expertise, since we are active on the Belgian market – and pretty soon in Spain and Portugal. With this structural partnership, we want to inspire BLSC and their members, and trigger them with novel ideas and insights based on our know-how. We truly are looking forward to, together with BLSC and their members, thinking about future concepts – both technological and digital – that add value for shopping centres and retail parks.
