THE CHALLENGE
Not only is February the shortest month, in retail this month generally also is rather quiet. After the deluge of December parties and gifts and January sales madness, we were tasked to attract extra punters to the retail park and incentivise visitors for doing so.
OUR SOLUTION
Those who came shopping in Shopping Pajot during the month of February received a coupon with a unique code with every purchase. Since this retail park houses several shops under one roof, shoppers of course could collect several coupons during their shopping spree. Back home, they could then easily register these codes.
We added a web page to the Shopping Pajot website, allowing users to exchange up to five codes at any one time. Each code of course gave them a new chance to win one of several amazing prizes. These prizes had been negotiated with the Shopping Pajot retailers, with the main prize being a thousand euro gift card to be spent in the shopping centre; you could also win a smartphone or vouchers for the new Hubo store. In total, there were over 60 winners.
In the end, over 3,000 coupons were registered during the month of February.
And there is more! The main prize was won by a couple who welcomed their first baby just a few weeks before. To us, that really has been the cherry on the cake to top this successful campaign. We’re already looking forward to the second edition!
